What is the best way to sell handmade beaded jewelry?
I make jewelry with beads and twisted wire. I have sold a few pieces but I mostly make pieces as gifts for friends and family. I tried selling a few necklaces on Ebay but they never sold. Does anyone have advice on how to sell handcrafted jewelry? Thanks!
I like going to the markets… there are sure to be craft markets somewhere in your area. However, you could always try leaving some on consignment at a trendy boutique whose outfits you think your jewellery would complement. Just make sure you do it with receipts and an agreed method of payment in writing.
Look for the right are, one where there are varied boutiques, cafes, maybe hairdressers and an area that attracts the right crowd. The best form of advertising is to actually wear your own jewellery. It’s amazing how often someone will ask where you got it. best of luck.
