Vinyl Fencing Stands Out From the Rest

How often have you driven down a street and compared fencing materials? Wood was the most popular for years and years, concrete blocks as well, but they’re very expensive, and it takes a skilled pro to install them. The chain link provided security, but little else. Then you saw those pure white vinyl fences, they offered you the privacy that you desired, but are they worth the price?

 The wood fences became faded even after only one year and when the wind blew, and the wind often blows, the wood fences fell down. You saw places where they propped the fence up with stakes, and knew it was only a matter of time and they would join the rest of the wood fencing. Partially on the ground and they had neither privacy nor security.

Vinyl fences were the ones you want. Love the look, love the privacy. So you started researching the vinyl fencing. Yes, it was more expensive, and there was more than one grade of materials. You even went on line to check them out, and visited the local hardware stores who advertised them regularly.

The advantages to vinyl fencing: They never need painting; they are stronger and last longer than wood; the graffiti specialists don’t like vinyl fencing because the paint does not adhere to it; some even come with a lifetime guarantee, but probably not the ones at the hardware store; they are maintenance free, but they advise you to wash them at least once a year with soap and water. That would be easy enough.

You’ve also found that if you buy the cheaper stuff, you get what you paid for, so what else is new? The cheaper stuff is still pretty, but it cracks and chips and is brittle due to the seasons of hot and cold temperatures. It also stands to reason that if you want quality you will have to pay more for it, but it will be worth it in the long run.

The better vinyl is thicker and will resist the weather. You’ve also decided to find a professional who is knowledgeable about fencing especially vinyl fencing. Once the better grade vinyl fence is installed you know it is there to stay without all the painting and repair that other fences require. In the long run it will actually be cheaper without all those high cost repairs. Do it right the first time, and you will be able to forget it until one of your neighbor’s compliments you on your new fence. Then you’ll know you did the right thing.
